Terms of Service

1. The Service

AAS Shield (“the Service”) is an AI-powered email analysis tool that detects toxic communication patterns in workplace emails. The Service is available as a Chrome extension, Gmail addon, and web dashboard. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration.

You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard settings. Upon deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed.

3. Service Tiers

The Service is offered in three tiers:

Free — 5 email analyses per day. No payment required.
Fortress (€9/month) — Unlimited analyses, full feature access.
Citadel (€19/month) — Unlimited analyses, full feature access, plus Evidence Vault with client-side encryption.

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers. Active subscriptions continue at their current price until the next renewal after the notice period.

4. Payment and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the dashboard — access continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service to harass, stalk, or intimidate others.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service’s source code or AI models.
Circumvent usage limits or access controls.
Use the Service for automated bulk processing without authorization.
Submit content that violates applicable laws.
Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your data, including any emails you submit for analysis and the resulting analysis metadata stored in your account. We claim no rights over your content.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Free-tier users receive no service level commitment. Paid subscribers will be notified of planned maintenance in advance when possible.

8. Limitation of Liability

AAS Shield provides toxicity analysis as an informational tool. Analysis results are AI-generated assessments and should not be treated as definitive judgments of intent or character.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AAS Shield shall not be liable for:

Decisions made based on analysis results.
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Loss of data beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.
Service interruptions or downtime.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the dashboard.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the Service in ways that could harm other users or the Service itself. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Italian law and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Italy, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
